Few words about me
I am Johanna, a Finnish actor (FIA) based in Helsinki. I work fluently in Finnish and English, with intermediate Swedish and basic French. I hold a BA in Contemporary Method Acting from the Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts. My approach to acting is holistic, shaped by my training in methods including Laban–Malmgren Movement Psychology, Meisner, and Ivana Chubbuck techniques.
With over 20 years of experience on stage and screen, I have worked across TV, film, voiceover, and theatre. My screen work includes short films, TV series, commercials, and a feature film. Recently, I appeared in the online murder-mystery game Viimeinen Mökkireissu and the TV series Modernit Miehet. I have taken part in both local and international theatre productions, including Drama performance at Kiasma (2024) and an international tour with Det Flyvende Teater (2022–2023). I am currently working on the theatre production Luumujuhla – ja sitten ne putosivat, premiering at Valtimonteatteri in April 2026.
I have been working actively as a voice talent for over six years. I have narrated over 100 audiobooks, including titles such as Herkuleen Veri, Pieniä valkoisia valheita, Pikku Prinsessa, and Auschwitzin viulisti. I also work as a voice-over artist in commercials, including recurring brand voice for Gigantti.
My approach to acting is a combination of sensitivity, fearlessness, and curiosity. I delight in roles that balance emotional subtlety with intense presence. I indulge in character transformation and ensemble work, driven by a deep passion for my craft. With a versatile background in physical theatre, contemporary dance, Gaga Movement, and yoga, I bring physicality and body awareness as key strengths to my acting. My artistry is shaped by a love for storytelling, exploring the endless possibilities of imagination. Nature is a big resource for me as an artist.
